There’s nothing wrong with ending an album on a sad note, right? Inspired by a very hard break up I recently suffered, I’m not exactly jumping with anticipation to detail it here, but in all honesty, whatever you may think about the symbolism or the vocal delivery or bare acousticness of it all, it genuinely brings me to the verge of tears every time, because I was there. I know exactly what I am saying.

lyrics
And hey
Of course these things always
Go hand in hand with pain
But then again we had our share of laughter
And hey
Although we go our separate ways
I know you won’t forget my face
When we first met and you were plastered
And hey
I think I learned my lesson
I think I’m a better person
I think there’s nothing worse than
Experiences that don’t define us
And no matter which variation
Of our past lasts in conversation
For us there’ll be no question
It was wonderful at the time
And I wanna thank you
For providing love to my wound
You were the best stitches I ever had
And yeah
Blood clots, and cuts repair
And I doubt that you would care
That I haven’t been the same since you left me
But yeah
It’s the scars that we all wear
It’s the war stories we compare
It’s in the acceptance that you’ve moved on already
But yeah
I think I learned my lesson
I think I’m a better person
I think there’s nothing worse than
Experiences that don’t define us
And no matter which variation
Of our past lasts in conversation
For us there’ll be no question
It was wonderful at the time
And I wanna thank you
For providing love to my wound
You were the best stitches I ever had
